Peanut Butter & Jelly

Nothing beats a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Sometimes with a good cup of joe.  Sometimes with crunchy peanut butter and sometimes on rye dough. Sometimes I like it with grape jelly and sometimes with a strawberry twirl.  Sometimes it needs more jelly, sometimes more peanut butter, depends on how much my stomach growls.  Sometimes, I go sugar-less and more protein to make my muscles grow.  Sometimes with tea and white bread, watching Tv when the rain pours.  Sometimes, I’d rather buy them at Peanut Butter & Co., New York, have you tried their peanut butter with a cinnamon raisin swirl or their lingonberry preserve?  Most times, I don’t really care, as long as its my old-fashioned peanut butter and jelly sandwich which I adore.

Like famous partners in crime Bonnie and Clyde… some of the best things in life come in pairs, simple as that.

It’s Reserved

“This one is reserved.”

Sometimes things are reserved for others and you think that it’s what you deserved, but it’s not yours and never will be. Don’t get caught on the curve, conserve your nerve.  You will be served eventually, don’t go off blowing everyone with a MIRV.  Your chance was preserved, don’t be unnerved and, don’t by all means swerve, thinking you will know how to conquer with verve.  Some things are reserved for others.  What is for you, will come in time and you will outscore.

Constant=Change

Put on your concave lens to correct what you see that needs to be changed, dictated the conclave.  All that is constant, builds like a large estate and needs no change.  “Being constant is content,” I said. The contour of the convent confines context to be conveyed to deal with conflicts that only the master condor sets as his grand amazing trait.  “No one is as big as me,” says he.

The flight of the concord has initiated once again, but now it lands on the narrow fiord by Norway, I’ve heard some say. Play on the chessboard with real men, not Gourdes from Haiti that carry no weight.  A rat’s head or a lion’s tail. Please pick your place.  I chose wrong again, but I said “I’m sticking to the wrong answer and my dream and you can keep your tail,” mademoiselle.  I’m sent to detention once again, the teacher wrote on the chalkboard, twice this past may. Implored, but was ignored, aiming for the big game.

The reward is on the scoreboard…am stuck to the rules again. Toured the area, but have to pay the bill to the landlord and there is no escape. Abhorred, but as they say, constant is as constant change. What weighs more, perhaps a million dollar estate, but I’ll always stick to the rat’s head.

No big bird will come to take me under his wing again, take me flying to faraway lands, like once before.  Now I’ll ship to those places, riding on a boat stuck under the wooden slabs, until I get there somehow someday and then I’ll run free again. Constant is as constant change.

A Keeper

It might seem easier to be laid back and accepting of whatever is given to you. But it’s harder to not get what you want and deserve.  Get some standards and give your requirements.  Test those around you.  Get rid of the riffraff.  Those who are not appreciative of you will dissipate like the fog that covers your window panes.  Anyways, who wants blurry vision when they could be seeing their future brightly ahead?

It takes up to 90 days to know who is worthy of your benefits. Not many people are in for the long haul, discarding shall be easy.

Resilience

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

– English Proverb

The times of despair are all in your head.  Let go of all the tears you shed, the thoughts you bred and the papers you shred.  Instead of fearing you will be dead, why don’t you opt to be positive instead.  Like a horse, its time to do your tread, effort to progress, push through upstairs. Let the world stare and try to oppress.  Observe, but don’t be disturbed.  They want you to fail, are you going to let them have their fair weather sail? Follow the trail, don’t stump on dumb small snail.   The heart hurts when you let it think you have failed. Are you going to cheat your happiness by giving yourself self-defeating kicks as a meal or would you rather feast on banquets of hopes, dreams and miracles inside the holy grail?  Prepare yourself to receive the grace that comes with well-being state of affair.
